Blank Chinese writing paper, sometimes called hanzi paper, gives you room to recall a word without a printed answer beside it. Use the editor above to choose a grid and cell size, then print one full page. Switching to blank paper keeps your saved word list intact.

Which grid should I use?

Print Chinese handwriting paper in the size you need

Choose Blank practice paper, then select Letter for 8.5 × 11 inch paper or A4 for 210 × 297 mm. Choose 18 mm cells for more writing space, 14 mm for a middle size, or 12 mm for a denser page. The preview fills the printable area with whole rows; it does not stretch cells to fit.

Leave the title as a lesson name, or add a date such as “Week 2 · recall”. To keep a reusable copy, follow the Save as PDF instructions. Print at actual size so a 14 mm cell stays 14 mm on paper.

Use the empty page for a quick recall check

1. Write three to five words from a recent lesson.
2. Cover the original list. Write the words again using only their meanings as prompts.
3. Compare each attempt with a trusted model, and mark the component that needs attention.
