Make Chinese writing practice sheets in PDF format from the editor above. The PDF is created by your browser's print dialog, so you can choose a local filename and folder. There is no account requirement or remote PDF service.
Save every worksheet page
- Review your word list and set the worksheet title. Choose A4 or US Letter in the editor.
- Select Print / Save PDF. On Chrome or Edge, choose Save as PDF as the destination. On Safari for Mac, use the PDF menu in the print dialog.
- Choose the matching paper size and 100% or Actual size scale. Use one page per sheet. Turn off browser headers and footers.
- Check the page count and first and last pages in print preview. Save the file, then reopen it to check the characters and tracing before making classroom copies.
Keep the editable original too
A PDF holds the printable result. Download backup saves a separate JSON file containing your words, corrected pinyin, meanings and layout choices. Use Restore backup to edit those details another day. Browser drafts belong to this device and browser; the backup is useful when moving to another device.
Fix common printing problems
| Problem | What to check |

| Tracing is too faint | Increase Tracing darkness and print a single test page. |
| Cells print smaller than selected | Set scale to 100%, use matching paper, and turn off multiple pages per sheet. |
| Characters look different | The worksheet uses Chinese fonts installed on your device. Recheck the saved PDF on the device used to create it. |
| Too many pages | Reduce blank rows or use a smaller cell size. Do not reduce print scale if exact cell dimensions matter. |
Can I make a Chinese character practice sheet PDF with no tracing?
Yes. Set Trace copies to None. Keep blank rows for recall, hide pinyin or meanings if useful, or choose blank practice paper for a page of empty squares.
Does the preview show all pages at once?
The on-screen preview shows one page at a time. Use its arrows to inspect other pages. Print / Save PDF sends all generated pages to the print dialog.
